Making an Impact
Elena believes financial literacy should be taught from a young age. Last year she volunteered with OrangeNote, a nonprofit that empowers students by teaching them what matters in the real world. During tax season, Elena also volunteers as a tax preparer with VITA, a tax program founded by the IRS to help low-income individuals and families file their taxes at no cost.
A Secret About Elena
Not many know that Elena grew up in a small village in Moldova, on a large farmland with many domestic animals- including a horse named Dusea. During her childhood, she and her family used a carriage to travel around her village. In Moldova, Elena received her degree in teaching, as she loves helping others. She is looking forward to the opportunity to once again ride a horse along a coastal beach.
