Tom chairs BakerAvenue’s Executive Committee, is a member of the Investment Committee, works closely with senior leadership to drive the firm’s strategic roadmap and is engaged on several of the firm’s family office and wealth management relationships. He takes tremendous pride in making BakerAvenue the best company to work with and work at!
Tom has held several operating roles at wealth management firms and multi-family offices including Chief Operating Officer at a global multi-family office and Chief Technology Officer and Head of Operations at a large Wealth Management firm. Tom also held a number of executive and management roles at Wells Fargo’s Wealth Management Group and has extensive experience in the start-up world raising $35mm in Series A and Series B funding to start MiFund, an international cloud-based FinTech company. Tom is a software developer by trade having spent several years managing US and international software development teams at SS&C / Advent in the mid to late 1990s and credits his disciplined approach to solving problems and arriving at creative solutions to Management Consulting, where he started his career.
Tom holds a B.A. from UCLA and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Hass School of Business. He is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), a member of the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco, and is a proud veteran having served in Psychological Operations (PSYOP) in the US Army.
Making an Impact
Tom is proud of how he’s helped the underserved immigrant population in Marin thrive. As a former board member at Canal Alliance, Tom supports the same organization that helped his family when he immigrated to the United States in the 1970s.
A Secret About Tom
Not exactly like Doogie Howser, Tom started kindergarten when he was three. He feels it was because he was smart. His parents stick to the story that it was an opportunity to get one of their four children out of the house.
